Winter Solstice brings Atlantic storms, swell and spray. Snowbunting flocks wintering in the dunes. Seal pups born on outlying skerries and islands. Rafts of scaup and ducks on sea lochs. Fabulous views towards snow clad peaks of Jura, Mull and mainland, with brief interludes of winter snowfalls on the island. Choughs flock in the dunes. Season of stunning light shows and sunsets.
